Brewing.

During the brewing process, a sugary liquid made from malted barley, known as wort, is fermented to make the alcohol found in beer. The plate heat exchanger has been used in breweries as standard technical equipment ever since the closed wort routing cooler, a successor to the surface irrigation cooler, was first introduced. And wort cooling has been a specialty of ours for more than a century.

Over the years, plate heat exchanger applications have advanced beyond wort cooling, and our SIGMA plate and thermal systems technology has advanced with them. In today’s modern breweries, our plate heat exchangers go beyond wort cooling – they’re also used to conduct exhaust vapor condensation, cool yeast, deep-cool beer, heat CIP solutions, and perform other thermal processes.

State-of-the-art beer dealcoholization systems are available with capacities from 3 – 100 hl/h using vacuum rectification technology with options for integrated and separate aroma recovery, inlet beer dosing, brewing water dosing, and a standalone CIP unit.

As a technical and market leader, we can provide a way to lower alcohol contents down to 0.0 Vol% in the product.
