After 40 years of service with API Heat Transfer, Craig VanTine retired last month as president of our API Basco Shell & Tube Business Unit.  Over his long career, Craig provided and inspired leadership, integrity, teamwork and a real sense of caring for all employees.  He was instrumental in starting up our air-cooled business and played a central role in the acquisition and integration efforts associated with Ketema and Schmidt.  We wish Craig all the best in his retirement.

In May, Robert (“Bob”) Platt joined API Heat Transfer Inc. and will serve as the President of the Shell & Tube business unit and be responsible for the development and execution of the worldwide business strategy for this technology.     He was previously the VP/General Manager with Maag Pump Systems Textron, Inc. in Charlotte, NC before relocating to Buffalo.     He is a registered Professional Engineer and holds a Masters Degree in Engineering.
