API Heat Transfer Named Engineering Partner of the Year by Munters

...

Buffalo, NY August 13, 2026 — Munters Data Center Technologies has awarded API Heat Transfer its Engineers Choice Award, recognizing API’s rapid expansion of engineering, test, and manufacturing capabilities to support growing demand for data center cooling solutions. The annual award recognizes API’s ability to rapidly respond to evolving customer needs, scale production and provide engineering expertise to support Munters’ growth in evaporative cooling applications. API leveraged its worldwide manufacturing footprint to bring approximately 50,000 tons of additional cooling capacity online within six months, while simultaneously developing the testing capabilities required to validate performance at scale.

“Receiving the Engineering Partner of the Year award from Munters is a tremendous honor and a reflection of what our teams can accomplish when we work closely with our customers,” said Bill Campbell, Global Director of Business Development for Data Centers at API Heat Transfer. “We were able to move quickly, leverage our global manufacturing footprint and invest in the engineering and testing capabilities needed to support Munters’ requirements.”

Engineering and Testing Capabilities

In addition to expanding manufacturing capacity, API developed new testing capabilities to support the increased requirements associated with evaporative cooling applications specifically for data centers. These capabilities allow API Heat Transfer and Munters to work collaboratively on product development, validation and performance, helping accelerate the transition from engineering to production.

The effort also demonstrates the value of API’s integrated approach, combining engineering expertise, global manufacturing resources, and application-specific testing to solve complex thermal management challenges.

A Partnership Built for Scale

As demand for data centers and advanced cooling technologies accelerated, Munters needed additional production capacity and scalable manufacturing with a partner known for engineering excellence, particularly in applications requiring efficient thermal management and high-capacity evaporative cooling.

API’s collaboration with Munters demonstrates the company’s ability to respond quickly to market opportunities, expand capacity on an accelerated timeline and deliver engineered thermal solutions at scale.
